PrEP-Up! Project Coordinator


Supervised by: Director of MCWC

Status: Full-Time, Exempt


Through targeted HIV/STD testing, counseling and linkage to care, enhanced personal contacts, and social
marketing strategies, the PrEP-Up! project seeks to build on previous program success by increasing
accessibility of PrEP/nPEP uptake and sustaining adherence to treatment among Latinx people, a population
not prioritized in existing BAO programming. This proposed project will leverage past program success while
expanding its reach to Latinx people, via the following goals:


Goal #1: Reduce disparities around PrEP uptake for Latinx people
Goal #2: Increase screening for PrEP among Latinx people
Goal #3: Increase adherence to PrEP treatment among Latinx people

 

  •  Project Coordinator must speak Spanish;

  • Complete required trainings;

  • Supervises staff and program activities;

  • Facilitates testing events and coordination of PrEP services at MCWC;

  • Monthly PrEP, Education and HIV 101 trainings at ¡HICA!;

  • monthly PrEP education and HIV 101 training at Latinx community events;

  • Monthly PrEP training to local primary care physicians.

  • Reports monthly to the COO for billing

  • Reports to Director of MCWC for goals and objectives

  • Works with Marketing Director to design advertisements in Latinx-serving organizations;

  • Expand services to reach Latinx communities

Professional Development:

  • Attend all scheduled agency training classes and external training classes as assigned

  • Actively seek relevant learning/training opportunities related to the position after requesting supervisor authorization

  • Be an active participant on appointed committees

Standard of Conduct:

  • Strictly adhere to all BAO / MCWC policies, procedures and agency guidelines

  • Professionally represent BAO / MCWC in the community

  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment

  • Obtain and maintain your professional certifications and trainings

  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and always provide helpful and professional assistance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends along with standard business hours

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

  • Reliable transportation, acceptable auto insurance, valid driver’s license
